Let's help Hank! Hi, my name is Shelby - and I am fundraising to send our sweet Hank to a board-and-train program starting July 28th - with a wonderful friend and trainer - who is all too familiar with the rescue world. Hank is an incredible dog who has unfortunately found himself back in the care of our rescue organization. We believe that with a little extra training and support, he can regain his confidence and be ready to find his forever home. Hank was born into rescue (in my home!) on May 2nd. His sweet mama, Lady, was found in Texas unable to move - suffering from a broken pelvis. She was dragged by male dogs - back and forth - before the rescue was contacted. Lady was immediately brought to safety - and sent to the Northeast to begin her recovery. A month following Lady's arrival, Hank and his beautiful siblings were born. They were happy, healthy, playful - and so loved. "Raising" 3 goofy puppies in a small apartment - with two full-grown dogs - was far from easy! But it is a memory that will never leave! Hank was adopted at 3 months of age - but has recently returned to our rescue - at a year old. Hank is an intelligent, loving, loyal, and protective companion, but the loss of his family has affected him, leaving him in need of a re-set to overcome his anxieties and build his trust again. To ensure that Hank gets the best chance at a happy future, we have identified the need for additional training to boost his confidence and refine his manners. He is a young boy - with such a bright future ahead of him. With training, we are CERTAIN Hank will find his forever home - and by donating to this fund, you are helping Hank find his forever home. The cost of training programs can be quite significant. We are launching a fundraiser to collect the necessary funds to provide Hank with the specialized training he needs.
