Hello all! My name is Brienne, and this is a fundraiser for Gracie! Our seven year old Australian Cattle Dog. Recently, she was injured quite severely requiring several emergency room visits and a very intrusive surgery. Tearing her CCL ligament, and damaging bones in her leg she is now in recovery with 6 set screws and metal brackets in her leg. The damage was so severe they actually had to change the angle and function of her knee entirely. The exorbitant cost of the surgery alone put our family in a very difficult position, but for our best friend we would try to move a mountain. After two months of strict cage rest and total depression (with prescriptions to help) she will still require physical therapy, controlled environments to avoid her from re-injuring herself and over a years worth of medication to curb the anxiety and stress of being caged and curbing her prey drive. our family would be forever grateful for any help available to us to ensure a complete recovery and for Gracie to resume her previous quality of life, adventure and freedom.
