Hi, we are Golden Motorsports, a team of 6 ambitious 18-year-olds, from St Olaves Grammar School in Orpington, who have the honour of representing the UK at the F1 in Schools World Finals - the world's biggest STEM competition for students. We recently were awarded 1st place at our National Finals, and need some support to help us compete at and win the World Finals, which will be hosted in Saudi Arabia, for the UK, continuing to make the future golden! F1 in Schools is an exciting competition, open to all secondary schools and sixth-form colleges. The aim is to create miniature F1 cars using CAD/CAM software, and race against other teams on a 20m track with compressed CO2 canisters powering the cars. Teams are not only judged on their car speed but on their portfolios, marketing, verbal presentations, pit displays and much more. Our ethos is "making the future golden" and we are a team who takes pride in making our generation ready to become future leaders. With your support, we will be able to truly make an impact on the world as we strive for gold at worlds, whilst helping younger generations in the process. Our impact was exemplified when 5 other teams from our school managed to qualify for the UK national competition, as they were improved and guided by our mentorship.
