Hello Everyone!!!This is a fundraiser from the 2016 senior class for the Grand Haven High School Buccaneer Marching Band to raise money for raincoats!My name is Anna Jullie, a current senior section leader in the band. I am putting this account together on behalf of the entire senior class. A gift from us for future generations!As a band, we travel to multiple invitationals each year, along with playing in many football games. We are always outside, and play rain or snow. Currently, all we have to wear are our basic uniforms. We can often layer underneath to try to keep warm, but have no way to protect ourselves from the rain. We just got back from two invitationals in one day. We had to unload our truck of instruments and uniforms in pouring rain, and the drumline had to warm up outside as well. We were absolutely soaked, and would have benefitted greatly from a raincoat. We were one of very few of the other 40 or so bands that did not have raincoats. The amount I have as our goal is what the projected cost would be for raincoats for our entire band. We, the senior class, would love to be able to raise enough money from our community to be able to provide coats for the future Buccaneer Marching band members, so they don't have to deal with the rain and cold like we have!Raising this money would be an absolute dream for all the directors, students, and parents. It has been something that has been discussed for many years, but has never been able to be made possible.
