Dear friends and family, I am thrilled to announce that I am embarking on a new journey to share my passion for poetry and touch the lives of as many people as possible. After being recognized as the SmartArts Teaching Artist of the Year in 2019-2024 and receiving the Artist of the Year award at the 2024-2024 Upstate Music Awards, and SEW-Eurodrive Minority Teaching Artist Fellow 2024: I am more motivated than ever to use my words to move others. My goal is to offer engaging and inspiring poetry workshops across the United States, starting by going to places I missed in California. These workshops will be completely free of charge, allowing everyone to participate and discover the joy of writing poetry. With my experience as a certified and award-winning teaching artist, I bring a unique and fun approach that will leave participants with a newfound appreciation for poetry. To make this dream a reality, I am reaching out to you for your love, help, and support. I am raising funds to cover the costs of a round trip plane ticket from South Carolina to California and back. Additionally, I will need funds for plane tickets, lodging, transportation (such as Uber), and food during my time in these locations. As a token of my gratitude, I am offering incentives for those who contribute $50 or more to the campaign.
