My name is Kara Travers and I am the widow of my beloved husband of sixteen years, Gary Travers. Gary passed away on June 21st, 2024, less than six (6) months after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. This LFEBridge Memorial Fund in Gary’s name, is being established as a College Education Fund for our thirteen-year-old daughter, Cheyenne. Cheyenne is a shy young lady who loves drawing and spending time with her friends and pets. Sadly, Cheyenne lost her dad the night before her last day of 7th grade. It has been a devasting turn of events for our family. With Gary’s unexpected passing and financial support gone, our family is faced with many financial challenges, including saving for Cheyenne’s college education. Cheyenne will begin 8th grade in the Fall of 2024. The donations received for Gary Travers Memorial Fund for Cheyenne’s Education will be put into a 529 college savings plan to assist with her future college expenses. Gary was a lifelong resident of Emerson, NJ, and an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Grateful Dead. But Gary’s true love was spending time with family, as a devoted husband and father. He was a local postman in the town of Emerson and had previously worked for Shoprite for many years. He was kind, respectful and well-known among the community, especially for loving up pets on his postal route! Gary’s passing has been heartbreaking to our family. And although nothing can replace his love as a father and husband, we hope to memorialize Gary's life through this College Educational Fund for Cheyenne. We are grateful for your generous support and thank you for your donation.
