Did you know that 30,660 Victorians are without a home? Hi, Gabriela and Lola here inviting you to kindly donate to our Community Project initiative at Caulfield Grammar School focusing on the homelessness issue that plagues our state. Your kind donation will help us make a change. After months of research, we have narrowed our search to focus on two great charities that make an everlasting impact on the Victoria streets. 'Christmas on the Streets' (also known as COTS) and St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria. 'Christmas On The Streets'. is a not-for-profit organization supporting men and women experiencing homelessness. 50% of the funds raised will be donated directly to this charity. With every $150 donated, goes towards feeding at least 20 women and men. The remaining 50% of funds raised will go towards us purchasing well-needed hygiene products for females in crisis. We will be donating these products directly to St Vincent de Paul to help women that face housing insecurity. This is a major issue and your generosity will help change the lives of women experiencing abuse and homelessness with the basic necessities of life; basic hygiene items. Funds Collected will purchase items on our wish list: Hair combs/brushes Travel size shampoos Travel size soaps Deodorant Tissue packs Toothpaste Toothbrushes Lipbalm Sanitary Products In turn for your donation no matter the amount, we have committed to volunteering our time at Vinnies Elsternwick, for 3 hours, once a week, for the next 4 weeks. Together we can make a difference and extend a helping hand to those who need it most.
