On 09/07/23 we lost our mum/nanny. For 5 years she was diagnosed with lung cancer, she fought and fought and was kicking its arse. Fast forward to April this year, Mum suffered a stroke and was still up and walking a week later she was superwoman. Unfortunately Tuesday the 4th of July Mum was taken ill with another stroke, even then she was fighting and fighting to stay with us. However as mentioned, on July 9th our beloved mum and nanny took her final breath. We are devasted as you can imagine. As you can imagine, funerals are incredibly expensive and given Mum's poor health over the past few years, alongside hospital visits, finances became a tad difficult to keep secure, adaptations to the house due to the cancer treatments becoming invasive and to give Mum her independence back after the first stroke, trips to the hospital, taxis there and back while we spent days and nights with her all added up. As a result of this, it has become rather difficult for us (Myself, Holly and Jack) and Mum's limited savings to gather the funds necessary to give Mum the funeral she deserves. As we are sure you all already know, Yvonne was a beloved member of the community, who everyone loved, she touched the lives of close friends, family and even people who hardly knew her by being so transparent with her struggles experienced throughout her entire life; this transparency being something everyone she met grew fond of and was regularly noted as her greatest and most admirable asset. This is why we want to raise this money, she deserves a send-off that truly celebrates the life she lived and allows a chance for her family and friends to remember her for who she was. Any funds raised will be put towards general funeral costs and to give Mum a burial so those who care about her can still go and visit her. We understand that money is difficult at the moment so anything that you can give will be so greatly appreciated.
