As you may know, The Wingard/Havens family lost their beloved son, Andrew Havens (23), Saturday, July 8, 2024, in a tragic car accident. Bonham, Texas -- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our son, Andrew Greer Havens; his earthly life ended and his new journey with his Heavenly Father began Saturday, July 8, 2024. Andrew was born on September 21, 1999 in Sherman, TX to father, Gregory Kirk Havens and mother and stepfather, Nancy Renee (Reeder) and Barry Wingard. He was a graduate of Bonham High School Class 2018. After graduating he immediately joined the United States Army and served honorably from 2018 to 2024. Andrew worked for Clayton Homes as a roofer. He enjoyed playing video games, TikTok, Pokémon, and skateboarding. Andrew was a very polite, kind, loving, young man, who will be dearly missed. Andrew is survived by his mother and stepfather, Nancy and Barry Wingard of Bonham, TX; father, Greg Havens of Telephone, TX; brothers, Russell Havens of Bonham, TX and Clayton Havens of San Antonio, TX; maternal grandmother, Rena F. Reeder of Bonham, TX; fraternal grandparents Arvol and Janette Havens of Telephone, TX; uncle Mike Reeder of Pittsburg, TX(aunt) Deeann Coffee; aunt Connie Pratt of Sachse, TX (uncle) Steve Pratt; uncle, Dwayne Havens and wife Sheri; and aunt, Patty Foreman and husband Donald; in addition to numerous cousins, extended family, and friends. Andrew is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Benton Reeder, and Paul and Betty Wingard. A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2024 at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham, TX; followed by funeral services starting at 10:00 a.m. Chaplin Mark Owens will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at Carson Cemetery in Ector, TX with honors being rendered by the United States Army Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers will be Clayton Havens, Russell Havens, Mike Reeder, Colby Kelton, Kevin Honeycutt, Sterling James Lee III.
