Hello everyone. My name is Jacqueline, eldest daughter of Beloved Jeannie Gadambua whom had passed away on 3rd May 2024 in Darwin. I have created this fund-raiser on behalf of my family to seek financial help to return Jeannie back to her homeland outside of Maningrida in 2-3weeks. Otherwise we have to continue to pay $40 per day storage fee at the morgue. Funerals are so expensive as we all know. We would like to host 2x Funeral Services to give the opportunity for everyone that was touched and loved by Jeannie to have a chance to say their goodbyes. A Service in Darwin followed by 5days Traditional service at her homeland Jibena where she will be laid to rest as well. Jeannie had to leave home in Maningrida & Jibena in mid 2024 to get renal dialysis treatment and training in Darwin. Sadly Jeannie passed away in Darwin with only a month to go to return back to her hometown. Many people knew and were touched by Jeannie's love, laughter, cultural knowledge, her fierce stance for land rights, empowerment to people, self determination, disciplines, mat weaving, fishing & hunting and love for children. We are a family with big hearts that give and do so much for people in need, but we never ask for help when we're in times of need. So this time in our life, loosing the matriarch of the family, we really need this help. Any kind donation will be much appreciated. Any extra donations will be used to cater for everyone attending the 5days Traditional Funeral Service that will be held@ Jibena. Thankyou in advance❤
