My name is Brandalynn Gonzales and I am starting this fund on behalf of my Dad Frank Gonzales, in order to help cover the cost of his funeral expenses. Our Dad passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2024, with his beloved sister Donna, niece Annette and life partner Carmen by his side. He had recently been ill and when he decided to go to the hospital because the pain was unmanageable it was discovered that he had cancerous lesions on his liver that have also spread to his lungs. It was something that we were not prepared to hear and then they said there was nothing they could do to treat it and gave us a timeframe of 3 months- heartbreaking and shattering news to us all. Dad was in good spirits and was going to fight until the end, though we didn't know the end would come just 6 days later. My Brother Richard and I were able to get down there to see and be with him and he couldn't have been happier to have us with him. Saturday I was with him until he said he was tired and he could fall asleep, I decided to give him that time to rest I adjusted his pillows and fixed his sheets so he was comfortable I said "I love you Dad, I'll be back with the kids tomorrow" he said " I love you Mom ok" and he went to sleep. Sunday morning he was still with us but unable to respond at all. He was surrounded by the family that loved him most and he peacefully passed with my Tia Donna holding his hand. I would love to be able to send him home in style- He always wanted to look good! This is the most heartbreaking thing that I have ever had to write but I hope that anyone that loved him or knew him will help support us so that we can do all that we can to send him up to be with our sister, Tiffany so they can dance in heaven together. Today you would be 65- Happy Birthday Dad we love you!
