Hi Everyone! I'd like you to meet Ladybug, our sweet fur niece. She is a young, very loved, happy mini Dachshund. She was rescued by our sister, Roben and her late husband Mark Levine over 3 years ago. Having lost her husband suddenly, Ladybug has been a huge source of comfort to our sister and now she needs our help. Ladybug has been diagnosed with cancerous mammary tumors. The Vet Oncologist performed blood work, a chest x-ray and an ultrasound to better determine the prognosis and the best course of action. Through surgery and the removal of mammary tumors on both sides, Ladybug has an excellent prognosis to live a normal, cancer-free life. Two surgeries are necessary and expensive. Roben has already begun Ladybug's treatment but could use our help in covering some of the costs. The estimated cost is $12,000. to $15,000. Roben is an absolute dog lover and has always had a special way with animals, especially dogs. Since retiring, she remains active in helping care for dogs and cats within and around her community in South Carolina. Ladybug is also her travel companion. Whether driving or flying, when she's able to head north to visit family and friends, Ladybug is always a welcomed guest in all of our homes. The estimated veterinary costs are beyond most people's ability to pay, especially a semi-retired widow. Any help you feel led to provide would be gratefully received and help with the expense of taking care of our much loved Ladybug. She means so much to Roben! God Bless and Thank you! Heidi Creta and Wendy Weir
