Hello my name is Amanda, I am Becky’s sister. I would like to try to raise funds to help with the costly vet bills that Becky and her Husband Dave will have for their beloved Charlie cat. Charlie is their fur child and means everything to them. He has a blockage in the bladder and will require urgent surgery for him to survive. Due to the holiday weekend, they are actively calling veterinarians for availability. This situation is very stressful and heartbreaking for them. He has endured this last month, was able to avoid surgery and was doing okay up until this morning. The surgery itself will cost over 6,000 on top of the vet bills they had last month. Anything would help, even a share. Thank you for reading! *******Update 7/2/2024******* Charlie was able to be unblocked yesterday and discharged home in preparation for surgery this week however, around 7am was rushed to the hospital for the same issue. He’s currently at UPenn, the plan is to be transferred for surgery on Wednesday. The procedure Charlie will be getting is called Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery which will hopefully lower the risk of reobstruction and can live a happy pain free life. Charlie is 7 years old, he has been such a strong boy through all of this and has a lot of fight left! Charlie is not just Charlie, he is a man with many names such as: Chuck, turkey, whale, chickie, bird, squirrel, no neck, cow, pigeon, and the list goes on depending on the day and his personality.
