Update 8/4 - Flimsy is 30 days old tomorrow!!! Its been a crazy ride but she has fought to live and is doing great today. I am updating her goal amount to the amount we spent at the hospital, not care afterwards. I am so grateful to everyone who has helped towards her care and also everyone who sent her the amazing gifts from Flimsys amazon wish list. She has enjoyed her life so far and I hope for a long one! Hi my name is Lauren LaBella. My mare Jenny rejected her foal July 5th. We named Princess Flimsy and milked mom and fed baby in a bottle. Flimsy went downhill July 6, 2024 after suspected aspiration of milk with bottle feeding and low IGG from mom not feeding her first 6 hours of life before we got to them. Flimsy is fighting for her life and any and all help is appreciated, we have put a $2000 deposit down that was everything I had and the bill is expected to be over $3,200. Thank you for reading and please pray for Princess Flimsy to make a full recovery. The first 24 hours after the plasma infusion are the most dangerous for her and she will get milk tubed down her at 6 PM. The doctor was surprised at how she is doing today, she is a fighter!!! All funds will go towards Flimsys care at Brazos Valley Vet.
