Tragically, Kat and I lost our wonderful mother, Alma, after a sudden and short battle with cancer. Our mom was admitted into the hospital on June 13, 2024 and left us July 2, 2024, a short time that left those of us that dearly love her, devastated. As we navigate through this difficult period, any help to alleviate the financial strain of this challenging time would be greatly welcomed. Due to such an unexpected diagnosis and sudden loss of our mother, there has been a strain on our individual finances as well as covering costs related to her passing. Unfortunately, the costs of having a proper memorial for my beloved mother exceeds our means. My sister and her husband overextended their finances to be able to stay in California for multiple weeks while I’m currently doing everything in my power to hold onto the apartment my mother and I shared. We intend on holding a ceremony for my mother in a place she always wanted to bring us; Puerto Rico. She spent her summers visiting our family in PR as a child and always wanted to go back. I would personally love to have a memorial for her here in LA as well, where her friends, colleagues, and the many that loved her may attend. Help us honor our mom, Alma.
