Join me in supporting Felipe Trujano Barreto's remarkable journey as I run the SF Marathon on July 23rd! As I prepare to conquer 26.2 miles, I want to make each step count by fundraising for my esteemed mentor. Felipe's incredible story is one of resilience and dedication. Once a professional Mexican squash player and the President of the Mexican Squash Federation, corrupt figures unjustly removed him from his position in 2000. Undeterred, Felipe has devoted his life to assisting those in need within the squash community, using his own resources to support aspiring players and provide them with opportunities for a better education, particularly those seeking to come to the US. With his vast experience, Felipe has coached and mentored numerous national and world-ranking players, including college-aged athletes like myself. Now, at 69, Felipe is poised to embark on his next ambitious venture: establishing an association to support squash players across Latin America. By contributing to Felipe's cause, you can help him build an even stronger support network for regional squash players. Let's unite to create lasting change and empower countless aspiring athletes, not only for the current generation but for new ones. Join me in supporting Felipe Trujano Barreto as we work together to make his dream a reality!
