Dear DonorAs New Beginnings Church of Chicago begins making plans to once again feed those in our community who might otherwise go hungry on Thanksgiving Day, I am reaching out to ask for your financial assistance to make this possible.  At a time when many people are focused on giving thanks for the bounty in their lives, others are feeling the pain of need. Our annual Thanksgiving meals for needy people in the Woodlawn community are a way of not only feeding those who are hungry, but also to show kindness and support to those who are feeling the pain of poverty and misfortune. Each Thanksgiving gift basket will include:Ø  One large turkey (14-16 lbs.)Ø  StuffingØ  Fresh green beansØ  CornØ  One bag of white potatoesØ  Fresh fruitØ  Salad and dressingWon’t you please help make it possible for this annual charitable tradition to continue?Last year, we fed 2,500 families on Thanksgiving, with a meal cost of  $25.00 each and both numbers are expected to increase this year. The fundraising goal for this year’s Thanksgiving meal is $130,000. This will allow us to feed 5,000 families at $26.00 for each meal box.Can we count on you for support toward reaching this critical goal today? We are also asking for volunteers to donate their time and energy to facilitate the distribution of the food baskets. To make a tax deductible donation by credit card, go to www.LFEBridge/feed5000 -  or call [phone redacted].  You may also send a check payable to: New Beginnings Church of Chicago 6620 S King Drive Chicago, IL. 60637Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated, and will make a difference in the lives of so many people.Blessings to you and your family!Regards,Corey B.
