Hi my name is Jacqueline after having a horrible family tragedy yesterday I have been inundated with people advising I set this up for my daughter and granddaughter. My daughter was at home yesterday wee one was at nursery my daughter smelled gas/smoke although no alarm was going off she went to her front door and upon opening it was engulfed in thick black smoke the flat below hers was burning fiercely. She couldn't get out the smoke was so thick and black she couldn't see or breath she ran to the window screamed for help passers by screamed back to her they couldn't get up to her as they also where met with the smoke upon trying and she was two flights of stairs up. One man thank god braved it and ran up as my daughter opened the door she could only hear him and feel him grab her by the arms she lost her footing and tried to get to the kitchen at other side of the flat to get her much loved family cats Nala and Titch but she couldn't make it the heat was unreal and smoke was choking her she felt dizzy the man had to throw her downstairs as they reached the bottom the man passed out with smoke inhalation and my daughter was taken in ambulance treated on the scene she pleaded with fire men to please get her cats they hoped as kitchen door was shut over at other side of property they may be ok however once blaze was under control some hours later they went up came down and broke the news to my daughter sadly both cats had not made it. My daughter was left on the street with 1 shoe her PJ's and that was all her earthly possessions whole flat wiped out and even worse cats life's gone just like that. We got the cats bodies back hours later and took them by taxi to the vets who is keeping them until we can raise the money to have them cremated and back with my daughter and granddaughter. Nala and Titch where the most loving natured cats you could imagine the bond they had with my granddaughter was something else never once got irritated by the wee one this is tragic they where a wee family of 4 cut down to 2 in minutes. Please I know times are hard but if anyone could help it would be appreciated. Material things we can eventually replace it will take time but we will do it somehow but the cats can't wait we need them to be seen to asap or they will have to be cremated communally which would break our hearts after loosing them in such a traumatic way she wants them back with her and the wee one thank you for taking the time to read
