On the 28th of January 2024, I will be swapping my horse riding boots for running shoes and travelling from the Welsh border to Manchester. To take on my biggest challenge to date..... The Hyrox fitness challenge race! To raise vital funds for the charity Macmillian Cancer Support. The Hyrox fitness challenge race is a combination and test of functional strength, high-intensity interval (HIIT) and endurance. Testing each competitor to their limits! I will be tackling 8 fitness test stations, each designed to test you to your limits. If that wasn't enough, I then need to run 1km between each station with no rest! From pushing a 102kg sled, to carrying 32kg in a farmer's carry, pulling a 52kg sled, broad jump burpees and even lunges with a 10kg weight on my back. All whilst running 1km in between each of these exercises! Sadly 1 in 2 of us will develop cancer in our lifetime. Having seen loved ones battle cancer, I have seen the incredible work Macmillian do to help people in their moment of need. Every donation to Macmillian will help another person fight cancer.
