She is not just a dog; she is part of our family. Althea is our 2-year-old wire-haired pointing griffon who loves joining us on kayaking and hiking adventures. Her infectious energy, pure joy, and unconditional love bring so much warmth and happiness to everyone around her. Just a few days ago, Althea's life turned upside down after being involved in a tragic hit-and-run incident that left her two front legs broken. As you can imagine, this situation has been heart-wrenching for us. Not seeing her wagging her tail, not jumping with joy to greet us, and seeing her in pain is devastating. The good news is that Althea can bounce back to her lively self with the proper medical attention and surgery and join us on our adventures once again. However, these treatments come at a significant cost - one that is beyond our current financial capacity. We have already spent a considerable amount on her initial care, and the estimated cost for her surgery and rehabilitation is approximately $7,000.
