Hi, I'm Krista Lance, Duane & Lisa Garrett's daughter. I am creating this LFEBridge for my mother to help with some of the expenses that have come along with my father's sudden passing. As most of you know by now, he struggled with his mental health and lost the battle this past week. This is not something that people like to talk about but this is part of real life. The next part of this will be descriptive of how he chose to do this, so if you are bothered by such things do not continue reading. Due to the nature of how my dad took his own life, we will be having an extensive cleanout of the living room. They are having to remove the carpet, and the flooring underneath, install new flooring, clean and paint the walls, and remove and dispose of any contaminated furniture and replace it. The company they require you to use for this type of situation alone is going to cost $5,000 and that is just for the cleanout and disposal of all of the contaminated items. We are also needing the air vents cleaned because of how long he was in the house before he was found. There will also be miscellaneous expenses as she begins the process of transferring property and utilities into her name. All of this is adding up quickly and my mother was nowhere near prepared for it. I know this is hard to read, and it is hard for me to type, but the last thing I want my mother to have to worry about is not being able to go back into her home until she can figure out a way to come up with the money to take care of all this. Our family is truly humbled by the abundance of love and support we have received from family and friends. Thank you for the donations and the prayers as we navigate this difficult time.
