Hi! My name is James Hutchinson, and I am a current senior at Syracuse University majoring in film. This fall, I will be bringing to life my senior thesis with the working title of "Drowning", a documentary on climate change and its impact on the island of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. I've always had a passion for creating works that spread awareness of change and global climate issues. "Drowning" is not only a piece that will aim to help raise awareness of climate change but something much more personal. Since I was a little boy, I have been spending my summers on Martha’s Vineyard. It has become my 2nd home, and many of my fondest memories with friends and family are on the Vineyard. Over the years, I have noticed significant changes in the island due to climate change, most notably the Gay Head Cliffs in Aquinnah. While this change is quite evident to me, I am sure that there have been significant amounts of negative/harsh impacts on the island due to climate change that others are not aware of and that I would like to explore and reveal. Your donation will directly fund crucial aspects of the production process, such as interview/location costs, equipment, and travel expenses, as numerous trips between Syracuse, NY, and Martha's Vineyard, MA will be made. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated. :) All the best, James Hutchinson
