Hi Everyone, my name is Jacquelin and I am fundraising for my furbaby Peachs' ACL surgery. Earlier this July I took Peach to the vet because I noticed she had been limping for an unusual length of time. At first I figured Peach must have zoomied like usual in the back yard, stubbed her toe and that it would heal on its own. But after observing her for a week or so, Peach continued to favor her back right leg. So, off to the vet we go where Dr. Hardy performed a radiograph procedure under sedation and confirmed her ACL is torn. Dr. Hardy discussed options for further treatment with me and suggested that I can do nothing or choose a surgical intervention. If I chose to do nothing, she would have to take anti-inflammatory medication daily and continue to be in pain. As a dog-mom I would not be able to bear watching Peach in pain or on medication for the rest of her life. She is only 3 years old and we still have many more adventures to go on and memories to make together. It is important to me that Peach continue to live her best life without limitations; and so I told Dr. Hardy surgical intervention it is.Peach will undergo Surgical Extracapsular Repair that Dr. Hardy will perform at the vet clinic. It is a same day traditional non-invasive surgical repair procedure with an 8-12 week recovery time. Planned surgery will be during the last week in July. All funds will be used to cover the surgery only, which includes post-op medication. Any additional funds raised until the end of this campaign on July 21st will be used to cover follow-up visits and any environment comfort modifications necessary to support her recovery. Please share & we thank you for your support♥️Jacquelin & Peach
