My name is Sophia and I made this fundraiser in an effort to get enough money together to get my sweet cat the treatment that she needs. Penelope or Peeper as I call her has been my closest companion ever since I got her. She is the most affectionate and loving cat I have ever been around, even though she came from an unfortunate and neglectful background before I rescued her. The bond that I share with her is so special to me, she is so comforting, always by my side, cuddling in my arms every night, meowing back to me when I talk to her. She’s my little orange fur baby. Upon her most recent vet visit they tested a lump that has been growing on her front left arm and it came back with bad news. The cytology results were abnormal, the lump has spindle cells in it and has since been growing. Then I found another lump growing lower down on the same arm. I am devastated that I am going to lose her far too soon to cancer. That vet visit would’ve cost over $600 but they had given me a discount so it was about $500. I cannot afford any further treatment for her due to my own unexpected recent medical issues putting me into debt and impacting my income. As the lump gets bigger it is crushing me emotionally that despite her saving me endless times, I won’t be able to save her without a lot of support. I am saving for her to get a surgery hopefully within the next 1-3 months, and for a visit to see if there is any medication they can prescribe to help her disease or at least her quality of life.
