Hi, my name is Tiffany and I’m fundraising for my dog Bella’s recent and ongoing ER vet visits. As many of you may know, Bella is really more than just a dog to us she’s more like our child. & it just breaks our hearts seeing how sick she recently got and how quickly it’s progressed. 3AM Tuesday morning Bella started getting sick. We thought it might just be a little stomach bug and it would pass quickly, but it did not. She continued to vomit, was not eating or it would quickly come up if she did. Our regular vet had no appointments available, so we then made the decision to take her to our local pet ER. This initial appointment they took her vitals, ran a full blood panel, and a X-ray scan to look for any blockages. Everything came back normal and they did not see any red flags. Sent us home with some medication to help with the nausea, diarrhea, and her stomach. This visit cost us $1,460. They told us to monitor her and she should start feeling better and to call if she’s still vomiting (since she shouldn’t be while on the anti nausea meds). By the next morning, Wednesday 7/26, she started vomiting again and continued to do so throughout the morning. At this point it’s been over 24hrs since she’s ate. She is not keeping anything down including water. She also has epilepsy and needs to take meds for that every 12hours to help control her seizures. So another concern we had with the continued vomiting. We have taken her back to the ER where they now want her to stay over night to continue to run more tests to see what’s going on. These test include an ultrasound and a CT. At this point we had to put down $4,642 deposit with estimated cost over $5,000 by the time they are done. To cover fees like overnight care, medications, nasal tubing, fluid therapy, catheter, EPOC, CT scan, Ultrasound and more. We are really hoping for the best and that they will have answers and a solution soon. So we are asking for a bit of help to cover Bella’s unforeseen emergency vet bills. We understand times are tough for many, so please only donate if and what you can. Prayers for Bella’s quick recovery are also appreciated. I will continue to add updates here as we receive them. with much love, Tiff & Troy Dalton 7/26 PM Update: Got a call from her doctor that’s leaving for the night to touch base before they switch shift with another doctor. She hasn’t thrown up or regurgitated in hours which is good. Also based on her scan they are thinking pancreatitis, and possibly blockage in the small intestine. They’re sending her scans off to a specialist to confirm. 7/27 AM Update: it’s pancreatitis and she has an ulcer. That’s what they thought the blockage might be. So no surgery! Both can be treated with medication. Which is good and they said she’s doing so much better today. Only thing with pancreatitis she said they typically like to have them hospitalized for 2-3 days. But we will see how the rest of her current 24hr stay will go. We also get to visit her at 3pm today. 7/26 PM Update: Bella’s been keeping all her food down and we got to visit her. Everything was going well so they let us take her home. Where we will need to continue to monitor her. She’ll need to take 2 weeks worth of medication, rest and drink plenty of fluids. She also needs to completely change her diet to a strict low fat one. We are so happy yo have her home and pray for continued improvement! Thank you for all the support!
