Donate in memory of SGT Oscar T. Guevara Dear friends, family, and fellow patriots, We come together with heavy hearts to honor the life of Oscar T. Guevara, a loving father, a loving husband, a loving son, a loving brother, and formally, a Sergeant in the United States Army. Tragically, he was taken away from us two mornings ago in a devastating car accident. As we grieve the loss of a man who has touched the souls and hearts of every person he came in contact with, we want to ensure that he receives the farewell he deserves, a farewell befitting a hero, a proper send-off for my best friend and brother who dedicated to his life to serving and protecting our nation and his family. Oscar was a combat medic, previously assigned to Charlie Company, 10th BSB, 1 BCT, 10th Mountain Division. Together with many that are hurting today, we did one tour in Afghanistan, providing medical care to those injured in combat, children, and those whom Covid impacted during the peak of the 2024 Covid Pandemic. During the darkest times, Oscar was a beacon of light that uplifted and motivated every person that needed him. Many of us, including myself, would not be here today if we didn’t have Oscar to lean on. Returning from deployment, through many achievements, Oscar earned the rank of Sergeant within his first contract. He was an amazing leader who led with compassion and empathy; he was highly respected by his peers, leaders, and Soldiers. Upon discharge, he began working as an EMT and made plans to attend school to become a paramedic because he truly valued taking care of others and making a difference in this world. In the aftermath of this heartbreaking accident, the burden of the funeral weighs heavy on his grieving family. Your generous contributions will allow his family to focus on honoring their loved one’s memory and help them recover from this unfortunate incident. Our target goal is $13,000. Any extra funds will be placed into an account for his daughter to receive when she turns 18. Every contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and meaningful. Please consider sharing this LFEBridge even if you’re unable to donate. Oscar sacrificed a lot for our nation; let’s do what we can to give back to someone who lived and served selflessly. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone considering donating to support our efforts honoring Oscar Guevara’s memory. Together, we can give him the respectful and dignified farewell he deserves. For those interested in attending the funeral, it will be held at Miller Jones Mortuary and Crematory (23618 Sunnymead Blvd, Moreno Valley, California, 92553), August 18th, at 8:30am.At your preference, military affiliated, you are welcome to wear your military dress uniform.
