PORTSMOUTH- Nathan Ray Kidd, 33, departed this life on Wednesday, July 26, 2024. He was born on November 16, 1989 in Denver, Colorado. He is survived by his 5 year old son, Bentley Ray Kidd; and 6 year old daughter, Natalee Renee Butler. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary L. Cutchins; and maternal grandparents, Marvin D. Sloan and Doris M. Sloan. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Rusty Rachel Kidd; father, Harold Ray Kidd, Jr. his wife, Karen E. Kidd; sister, Brenden Lee Kidd and her fiancé, Benjamin N. Flattum; nieces, Karsynn Leigh Dabney and Kennedi Rae Taylor; his grandfather, Harold Ray Kidd, Sr. and his wife, Linda; his aunt, Lisa G. Kidd; Uncle, Jess M. Sloan and his wife, Patricia and Jimmy Butcher and his wife, Dawn and many many other family members and friends who turned into family. Nathan had a beautiful soul that knew no stranger. He had a love of Audi cars, making people laugh, being covered in tattoos, and living life to the fullest. He could make light of any tough situation and always had an ear open to listen. The life of the party, the class clown, the most loyal friend you’d ever meet. He wanted nothing more but to be a father to his two young children and provide the life for them that he had been given growing up. Life isn’t always fair but Nathan fought his demons and always came out on top. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Go Fund Me page set up in his honor for his young son, Bentley, to give him the life Nathan wanted to provide so badly. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Monday, July 31, 2024 at the Sturtevant Funeral Home Portsmouth Blvd Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Please come as you are, Nathan wouldn’t want it any other way.
