We all remember our friend Dave Kester, who died on 18 July at Princess Alice Hospice in Esher. You may remember Dave from school at Christ’s Hospital (Barnes B and Maine A), from Mortlake (The Railway Tavern, Top Flat and other points in between !) or from Central London Poly. You may remember his sporting gifts - on the numerous golfing holidays, the many years of membership at Sunbury Hockey Club (where he was even The manager/steward for a time and lived above “the shop”) or for his inherent stamina on the Downsman and Ten Tors competitive hikes. You may remember him as a loving son, brother, husband or father to four children. You may be one of the numerous friends he has made over the years at schools, jobs or through his children. However you remember Dave, we are certain the words “funny, kind, honest and decent“ will be at the forefront of your mind. Very sadly Dave is no longer with his family to support them, either emotionally or financially. As such, we (a group of Dave’s old friends and brother), are trying to provide some concrete financial support for the future education and other pressing needs of his four children. Any amount, no matter how big or small, will go such a long way to helping Dave’s family. Any help, to help us, help Dave is so appreciated! Thank you (I’m proud to say we’re….) Dave's Freinds (Pete, Jonathan, Bill, Jim, Belinda)
