This August marks 20 years since the passing of my brother, Dan. He was an active member of the Waterford Community as a Firefighter, EMT, member and supporter of the Waterford High School Band. Dan donated many hours to Cohanzie Fire Department Jr Firefighter program and leading the Waterford Speedbowl Track Safety Crew. After his graduation, Dan assisted with drumline instruction for the marching band. He held multiple positions, including Chairman of the Waterford Week Parade. He did this while maintaining a smile on his face and never complaining. When he passed away, my family started a memorial scholarship at Waterford High School. Each year since my parents have made sure that the scholarship has full funding each year for a graduating senior. Please consider making a donation to help replenish his scholarship fund on this major anniversary of his passing. Below is a description of his memorial scholarship which truly depicts the person his was and the memory he has left behind. The Daniel Brigham Memorial Award goes to a senior band member that has dedicated him/herself to the betterment of the band program and others, exhibiting reliability, integrity, loyalty, self-discipline, enthusiasm and commitment.
