My name is Maiker Vang. Our family is heartbroken to announce the unexpected passing of our beloved father, Dang Vang, on Wednesday, June 28, 2024. He is survived by his 3 sons, 9 daughters, 2 daughter-in-laws, 6 son-in-laws, and 21 grandchildren. Our father had been battling multiple illnesses for many years and had started to rapidly decline after the passing of our mother in 2024. Our mother's passing affected his physical, emotional, and mental well-being, which led to more complications. Our father was a well respected person, not just within our family, but within the Hmong Community. He also faithfully served in the Army as a Sergeant in the secret war. From childhood to adulthood, our father was brave and just, always standing up and protecting the innocent. He was someone who we looked up to for wisdom and guidance. Someone who the community seek out for assistance in regards to traditional events, rituals, celebrations, etc. His death is a huge loss to not just our family, but to the Hmong Community as well. Due to the unexpected passing of our mother in 2024, and now the unexpected passing of our father, our family is experiencing financial hardship and would greatly appreciate any donation amount you can give.
