Following the utterly heartbreaking news that Dan lost his long battle against cancer on the 1st July 2024, it would be such a great thing, if anyone who was positively impacted by Dan (that would be anyone who ever met him, as he was just the greatest guy in the world), or even anyone who has just been touched by his story, could help the people he loved the most; Haley, Sam, Poppy, Shayla, Emmie and Cheryl, give him the absolute best send-off that he deserves. Dan was a larger-than-life character, who was always full of love, kindness and very much full of laughter. Even throughout his brutal battle, he kept his humour right to the very end. There has been such a huge outpouring of love for Dan and his family are very grateful for everyone’s messages and they take comfort hearing and reading about the stories of Dan’s life and of the many great memories people have of him. Dan loved a party in life, so if you’re able to help the family with the funeral costs, please please consider donating to this fundraiser to give him the absolute best send off we can. Dan would buy anyone a pint in the pub when he could, so if every person who had the privilege of spending time in his company, could donate the cost of a pint for his funeral, it would ensure that we give him the send-off, he would have wanted. If we could help relieve a heartbroken family of this financial burden, it would be one less thing for them to worry about, during an already painful time in their lives and Dan would have been so incredibly grateful for that support for them.
