Hi my name is Tien and this is my dog Daisy stories. Daisy is a tri color corgi almost 6 years old. She’s a super healthy dog until June 17 2024 that Morning we woke up to her vomiting a few places, we first thought ok she probably ate something and is just throwing up and give her time to settle down, entire day she slowly started feeling lethargic and we kept a watchful eyes on her and by next day her symptoms seems worsts so we took her straight to the first emergency VAC, we spent the entire day waiting to get her checked and at first they sent us back with antibiotics and nausea medications said to give her till Tuesday and if not better bring her back, Wednesday came and her symptoms got worsts and she hasn’t been eating since Saturday, getting worried we checked her back to the emergency and decided to go with X-rays. Well X-ray came back and this is where everything came crumbling down on us. They said they need to do another CT scan one more time to confirm as they suspect she had perforation gastrointestinal and needed to do surgery asap! VAC emergency said her condition and the procedure can’t be done there and I need to transport her to another emergency with icu care unit Canada West emergency, that same day we move her file and they immediately took her in check her up and was told the surgery would take 3-4 hours and recovery is 50/50 chance. We took the chance but things got complicated during surgery and was told that her perforation was so bad it went down to her colon and needed to removed that area and the chances of her making it is slim with 20% chance of recovering. My heart broke and shattered to pieces hearing the news and the surgery took longer that expected. But she made through the surgery and the next 3 days was the most challenging and emotional roller coaster ride for both us and Daisy she was in and out and all her vital dropping so low we thought she wouldn’t make it, vet would call and say she need plasma fusion and glucose and a whole lot of things needed to keep her stable and alot of pain meds! I just told them do what you have to do to save her and keep her going. We didn’t even think to look at the bills that kept climbing and climbing well it climb over $40K. Now I know it’s a lot and I’m not asking to achieve this goal at all, it took me a very hard decision to post a go fund me page, but with no pet plans or insurance and financially could nit pay off this massive bills, I used up all my savings and 2 credit cards, so here I am asking for help to helped this burden as I’m stress everyday figuring ways to pay this all off and just anything at this moment is more than appreciated. Daisy is still on going recovery and still need more care but she’s here with us and I would t change anything to have her next to me, she’s more than just a dog she’s my best friend, and my biggest supporter. Daisy and my family will forever thankful for your support and donations.
