Hi my name is Erin. My mom Sherry Osborne, a perfectly healthy 73 year old (other than end stage kidney disease) after 5 years on the waiting list received a kidney for Mother Day, May 13th. Everything was perfect! Until it wasn’t. May 21st she was rushed to the ER, and she coded the 22nd during a blood transfusion. She was resuscitated and immediately had surgery to examine the new kidney. The new kidney had to be removed because it was infected. Septic emboli then went to her brain and she suffered a stroke. After 2 weeks in ICU she was moved to a private room where we were given hope. She made some improvements, but then she declined. She was moved to a nursing home where she only spent a few days before being sent to ER for shortness of breath. She has pneumonia. Mom is currently in hospice care at South Pointe hospital and is only expected to live a few more days. She has no life insurance, or assets. The only thing that has been prepaid is her cemetery niche and urn. My brother and I will have to fund cremation and all the things that come with that. Everyone who knows me knows I’m not one to ask for help, but we don’t have much choice. If you can’t help, please please pray for my mom and a smooth transition. ❤️❤️❤️
