I had the honor of meeting CR (Chuck), his beautiful wife Lee Ann, and their son Sean many years ago while CR was stationed at Ft. Lewis in Washington state. Both of my sons were soldiers as well. But, in this case, it was through another wonderful soldier and his family who had served with my son, that I meant this family. We all had a great time together. I will never forget that day! While CR went on to his deployments, I kept in touch. Especially, with Lee Ann as I have with other young Army wives. They are like my Army daughters and sisters. Sadly, through the years, CR would struggle with many demons with what he faced over in the "sandbox". On July 3rd at 11:22am CR lost his battle of struggles by giving into the demons the night before choosing to take his own life on the evening of July 2nd. It breaks my heart and many other's hearts to think that he or anyone ever feels that their life is no longer worth living. PLEASE if you can help this family in any way it would be greatly apprecicated. I set the goal because I had to. It was hard to give a goal limit for something like this when knowing what LeighAnn and Sean will now go through in the years to come.
