Hi, my name is Debi and I created this campaign to assist her husband Steve during his time of grieving. The funds will help pay for Polly's funeral and other medical expenses incurred over the last six months during Polly's fight against cancer (twice). On June 29, 2024, Polly went to meet God and to be with her mother, sister and grandmother. If you knew Polly, you knew she had a sense of humor, that's why I chose this photo of her. She had a love for life! So much so, that she planned on beating cancer, and she did the first time around! She even got to dance down the aisle at her church. Sadly, another tumor crept in and though she tried to fight it... it was just too aggressive for her to beat. Polly loved holidays and loved to accessorize for them too (again, hence the photo). There wasn't a holiday or occasion that Polly wouldn't dress up for. She loved her family and her friends. Her many, many friends. She loved to meet new people too! When she followed April the Giraffe on social media, she became friends with around 200 people from around the world. They continue to be friends to this day. Polly was active very in church, and in groups and participated in many things. She had a love for children and taught Sunday School for many years in churches that she belonged to. She loved to cook and bake and would do so for anyone who asked, for bake sales, for church, and so on. She would even bake for people who came to give her and Steve a hand with something around the house. She also enjoyed reading, crafts, knitting and sewing. I could go on. The last six months have been very hard for her and Steve. Quite a few hospital visits and stays, radiation and this last month in the hospital. All donations raised from this campaign will go towards the cost of the funeral as well as the recent hospital bills. Her presence will be greatly missed by many, many people both near and far. I know I will miss her beautiful smile, her laugh, great sense of humor, but mostly her friendship. More importantly, I know that Steve, the love of her life for 47+ years, will miss her immensely. She will also be missed by her cats Snuggles and Rosa. Polly's Obituary
