Hello! My name is Alina and I have long wanted to become an astrophysicist As a child, I accidentally stumbled upon a story about a big bang in a dinosaur sticker magazine and it struck me so much that I still remember the admiration of my discovery. My older brother could fuel my interest in various fields of knowledge, and it was his stories about the solar system, planets and how everything works that started my dream of studying the Universe. In my small town, I even won the Olympiad in astronomy, although my knowledge was fragmentary and taken mainly from the large children's encyclopedia "The Universe". I was always very embarrassed about not understanding many chapters of physics when it started in school and doubted that I could follow my dream and become an astrophysics scientist. In addition, the environment instilled in me the conviction that a woman's head was not created for such disciplines. But the idea of exploring space has always been in my head, so I did it as a hobby, volunteering with a science group and telling my friends why Pluto was no longer a planet. In addition, I have worked hard to gain confidence that even though I am a woman, I can bring a lot of new knowledge and solution to the scientific world community. This year I was accepted to the master's program in astrophysics and cosmology at the University of Padua. And if I could go back in time and tell my 15-year-old self that a prestigious university considered you qualified to study astrophysics, then ... I don’t know what was! I plan to dedicate all my time to full immersion in the program, which is difficult, starting my way at the academy. I want to share a phrase from my motivation letter: With deep knowledge of astrophysics, close ties to the IT community and leadership, I intend to bring advanced technologies and software tools to the world of astrophysics by building cooperation between the two communities. To make the most of this opportunity, I have launched a LFEBridge campaign to raise funds for my tuition fee, cost of living in Padua, books, research materials, and other educational expenses. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will directly contribute to my education and enable me to focus on my studies without the constant worry of financial constraints. I chose the track Observations, Experiments and Interpretation. My current area of interest is the probabilistic orbital evolution of small bodies in the Solar System: asteroids approaching the Earth If you have any inquiries throughout this voyage, don't hesitate to reach out to me. instagram linkedin My path turned out to be long and difficult, so if you have any questions, please write to me, and I will share them with you! I plan to talk about my life in Padua, the everyday life of a student, as well as share materials and discoveries If you or your friends are interested - welcome! Thank you for taking the time to read about my aspirations. I am filled with gratitude for the wonderful people like you in my life. Together, let's explore the cosmos and unlock the mysteries that lie beyond! I cannot in any way thank you all enough.
