Since July is Bereaved Parent Month, we decided to get this going now. On May 9th, 2024, Colton William Gruber gained his wings & became our sweet little Guardian Angel. We, as his WARRIORS, want to keep his memory alive by gifting the families of as many NICU babies as possible with sweet little treats & such. Our plan is to make gift baskets/bags to distribute to said families. When our sweet Colton was born, he spent 7 weeks in the NICU and we know all too well, what NICU families go through, we want to give them a little gift to make them smile. Our sweet baby boy may be in Heaven, but we are going to keep his memory fully alive. We have many plans in progress, and we will share more as we build this venture. In the future after we start donating baskets/bags and getting things going, we will offer things such as for a certain donation you can sponsor a particular basket, so on and so forth. We are in the beginning stages of getting this endeavor off the ground. We have many who want to help us, we are going to start taking donations and preparing the items needed to make the first few baskets/bags. We have already made contact with a few nurses that work at the NICU where Colton was, but we plan to make this BIG, we want this to go VIRAL, we want put smiles on as many NICU families faces as we can in his sweet little memory. As NICU parents ourselves, we can personally tell you, those days are very scary, all of the machines, wires, tubes, cords, alarms, and more, makes every single day terrifying, while worrying what might happen next. Will it be a day of advancement, a day of setbacks, or will it be just another day of anticipation for the next event whether it be good or bad. There are days you just cry because all you want is your baby and at the end of the day, all you can do is visit your child, you can’t have your baby completely. During those tough days even the slightest reason to smile is so unbelievably welcomed and heartwarming. This is what we want to give to those parents. The parents are so unbelievably thankful for those small gestures. Please donate, please share, and please pray that we get this wonderful, and loving endeavor off the ground.
