Our 5-year-old lab mix, Charlie, recently tore the cruciate ligament in his hind leg, rendering him incapable of bending his knee or putting any weight on the leg. We are organizing this fundraiser to help with the cost of surgery to repair his leg. Charlie is the most loving and caring dog I've ever met. He loves to explore the outdoors and swim any chance he gets. Over the recent holiday, Charlie was living his best life. He was joining us on our hiking trips and spending a lot of time in the pool. However, we noticed he started favoring his leg, so we took him to the vet to get it looked at. They suspected a possible cruciate ligament tear and recommended that he rest as much as possible. Unfortunately, his injury worsened before we were able to take him to a surgeon for a consultation. Now he refuses to put any weight on his leg and lays on the couch all day. He's no longer his normal self, refusing to play with his sister and missing out on his daily walks. We always do what's best for our dogs, regardless of how much it might cost. The surgery alone could cost nearly $6000. We're asking for your support to provide Charlie with the necessary medical procedure to fix his leg so that he may return to enjoying the things he loves. This money would go towards a sedated x-ray, surgery, medication, and physical therapy.
