My name is Sage Chernalis and Charlie is my best friend, my family, and the sweetest dog that you could ever meet. Words cannot express the pain that I’m going through just having to write this let alone know the pain he is currently suffering through. Charlie my 7 year old frenchie has just been diagnosed with IVDD - Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) is an age-related, degenerative condition. However certain, 'at-risk' dogs (chondrodystrophic breeds and crosses) can suffer disc problems from when they are young adult dogs. Disc degeneration is thought to occur because of loss of the disc to “hold water” becoming dehydrated. Charlie was diagnosed on Monday and has rapidly declined in less than two days, he will be needing surgery to possibly save him from the excruciating pain and most likely paralysis., financially I can’t afford this surgery out of pocket and I’m looking at another 5000 to 7000 more. if anyone could find it in their hearts to help Charlie… words could not express my gratitude ….
