[Thank you for your donations. This fundraiser has closed] Celso Espinal died at 63 years old of thymic cancer, a very aggressive and rare form of cancer. He battled this cancer for 7 years through various forms of chemotherapies, pills and immunotherapy. In June, doctors determined that no other treatments could help the advancement of his disease and resorted to at home hospice care. Celso was a man of incredible faith, throughout his cancer journey, he still managed to make his way to read at Saint Elizabeth church EVERY Sunday. He was part of EMAUS, a brotherhood of catholic members who volunteered their services. Celso is survived by his 2 children, Nieves and Jose, and wife Rosa Nunez. Celso loved to spend time in nature, with his family, and had a contagious energy and humility like no other. Celso was known for his insightful anecdotes and his age old wisdom. Celso passed peacefully on July 24, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family and prayer. He was just 4 days shy of his 64th bday.He leaves us with a message to celebrate his life. Help us support his family for burial costs.
