Last night, my brother, Truman, found Keats with an open chest wound. He seems to have had an accident around one of the barns on our farm. The accident also caused one of his lungs to collapse, and he had to be put on oxygen as well as have emergency surgery. Only a month ago, I had to take Keats to the vet for Lyme disease as well, and now we have found out his chest surgery is going to be $5-6,000. After my dad passed away during my senior year of college, I got Keats as soon as I came home; he has been incredibly important to me these past few years, supporting me in the way only a dog can. I am only a few weeks away from going to law school, and the vet bills are stretching me too thin to pay for law school and his multiple vet visits. Anything you can donate will help, and my family and I would be incredibly grateful. If you can't, that's okay, too. Sharing is also helpful! Thanks so much <3 ***Any excess money that does not go to his immediate medical care will be donated to the Rockingham County Animal Shelter. The stick they just pulled out of his chest:
