Captain Bloody Wendy has embarked on a perilous voyage, fraught with adventures, challenges, savage waves and winds, and is set to triumph over sea serpents, pirates, and scallywags. I'm finally going to record a CD, professionally done, not a cell phone track. I'm going to give my original and unique songs of unimaginable genius the treatment they deserve. So I humbly ask for help. I am getting things organized as to studio, guest musicians, arrangements, etc. I will be including my Bob Kotta Memorial Songwriting Contest winner, "Tugboats Pullin' on the Bridge Lines," a shanty sing favorite, "Slush Them Wires," about a job you wish somebody else did, "Sail Away to Shanghai," about you-know-what, and "Quiet Waters," my homage to the USS Arizona. I'm shooting for $5,000. I hope to have it by summer's end. Doubloons from both the 17th and 18th centuries are acceptable. Thank you, and you are all invited to my CD release party.
