Hi, my name is Blanca, I’m reaching out to the community, humbly asking for your help to give my girl, Bella the treatment she needs. I know everyone has their struggles, but I hold onto hope that kindness and compassion can help us pull through. To start, I was recently laid off. I was laid off on the same day I received the news of Bella’s cancer results. The burden of mounting expenses and the choice between basic needs and Bella’s life is heart-wrenching and paralyzing. I’ve had Bella for a decade this December. I had just turned 30 when I adopted her and I’ll be turning 40 this year. Her love, support, and loyalty over the last decade have pushed me to take care of my mental health and it’s because of her that I wake up in the mornings. She’ll be 10 later this year so giving up is not an option. She’s my best friend, my SOUL dog, and the only thing I have in this world. Well, I also have Bertie, but Bella is the heart of this pack. She’s also a fighter.. and not John Cena WWE but think of the most resilient and happy and positive person you know - that’s Bella. I can’t help but marvel at her resilience. She had been through so much in her life already, overcoming challenges that would have broken anyone’s spirit. Her journey began with bilateral FHO surgeries AND bilateral TPLO surgeries before the age of 3 pushing her through months of recovery with determination and unwavering willpower. The second FHO surgery brought about an unexpected and painful complication. After surgery, an improper wrap caused a severe burn on her opposite elbow, and a careless suture kept exposing the wound; for weeks, the surgical wound refused to heal. I searched tirelessly for a solution, eventually finding a new veterinarian who skillfully addressed the issue. Bella’s strength never wavered. In 2015 Isabella’s dental health became a concern. A cracked molar due to a chewed yak bone led to nerve exposure, requiring its removal. In March 2019, we tragically lost her littermate and beloved brother abruptly. It was a heartbreaking time for everyone, and the emotional toll affected Isabella as well. Not long after, she developed a heart murmur. But like always, she took everything in stride, never letting her health issues dim her bright spirit. In 2024 she cracked her canine tooth and needed a subsequent root canal. Despite the discomfort, Isabella displayed unwavering patience and an ability to endure pain like a true champion. Last year brought more challenges than before and one after the other... After the root canal, a new threat emerged when a mass near her spinal cord was discovered. Fortunately, it ended up being a histiocytoma, a treatable condition that eventually cleared. But not a month had passed when fractured her foot during swimming lessons, and due to vet shortages and locating the right splint, finding the right treatment proved difficult. What should have taken 3 months took 6 and finally, we connected with an Orthopedic surgeon who gave us the green light for her to go back to normal with subsequent PT to help her regain muscle. She’s been in treatment ever since. But life, as it appears isn’t finished testing Bella or me yet. A small mass began to grow on her hock/her ankle at the end of June on her leg, already afflicted with osteoarthritis. Last week, we received the prognosis ... it’s devastating; the location rendered the mass inoperable and as we begin radiation treatment I can’t help but crumble in fear thinking that between her heart disease, and her age what complications await us. We could really use your prayers and good vibes. Please consider donating and sharing our story. We need all the help we can get. Thank you so much for taking time out to read our story, and for your warm wishes, prayers, good vibes, donations, and shares. I can't tell you how grateful I am. So you have an idea of how grave the situation is: This was on July 6 July 10 July 17 July 19 TODAY July 25
