Hi my name is Ben and I’m fundraising for the Purple Hearts, a team of footballers with a disability established in 2010 by the Randwick City Club. I’m seeking to raise $3000 to buy our players a training kit which includes a tracksuit, ball, and training top and cover costs associated with running the program, such as hiring of a training field. The Purple Hearts provides people with disability the opportunity to play and develop a love of the game of football (soccer). Since it began, some 100 people with disability have played for the Purple Hearts. We currently have 35 players who play in various formats of the game including futsal (indoor) and outdoors competing in mainstream organised by the Eastern Suburbs Football Club. We need to fundraise to ensure the program is affordable to current and future participants and builds player engagement. Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated.
