Hello! My name is SANDY and I am fundraising for my beautiful cat BUNGLE! BUNGLE is 5 years old and a male long fur Tabby. I watched him being born, so we have a very special bond. His mum TINKERBELL is also my cat and he has a brother called ZIPPY! Bungle is a large cat - often mistaken for a 'Maine Coon' but he is not - he's just a 'mixed-mog' who is the most loving cat ever - never bites or scratches! Sadly, in July, Bungle escaped from the garden and disappeared for 24 hours. Despite extensive searches, he could not be found. Miraculously - he did eventually, find his way home late one evening, but returned badly injured and in a state of shock. I rushed him to my local veterinary practice, where the vet confirmed he had been hit by a vehicle. Initial x-rays showed he had broken his left leg in 5 places. This visit cost £685.00 - which I paid. My local vet then referred Bungle to a specialist orthopaedic veterinary practice in Wellington, Somerset for more extensive x-rays and evaluation. Due to the complicated nature of the fractures, which were very splintered and located close to the joint - surgery to fix the leg was costly at £6,500 and complicated, with a long recovery period, no guarantee of success and the possibility of future problems. I was therefore advised that amputation of the leg was the best and kindest option for Bungle. This surgery will cost £2,500. I do not have £2,500 and need to raise it to pay for this surgery. Many of my lovely friends on social media have told me they would like to help and suggested I set up a 'GO-FUND-ME' page - so here it is! I am trying my very best to raise what I can myself. I am a professional singer/vintage vocalist & 1940's re-enactor and happy to offer my services FREE OF CHARGE to perform at any venue or for any event that can donate £200 or more (excluding private functions).
