As many of you know, our dad passed away July 22 2024, and did not leave much in the name of what he would like for his remains as well as any financial means to help with the cost of these services. All he had said regarding this matter, when he was alive, was that he would like to be cremated when his time came. So we are asking our community to come together to help any way they can to absorb some of these costs for this, as we grieve and mourn, with as little stress as possible. We will be doing an “End of Life Celebration” within the next few months for everyone to come together, share stories and anecdotes of our dad, then share a meal together before we spread some of his ashes at Silverwood Lake. Ultimately we'd like to place a portion of his ashes with his Grandma Tora in Utah, at her gravesite, as well. There is no further information regarding the “Celebration of Life” event at this time. More information to follow. To stay connected to this event please reach out to Emerald or Hannah. Or follow the updates on this page as we will be posting updates as we have them. Obituary :: William Timothy Miller (BT, Pirate) passed away on July 22nd, 2024 at the age of 51 in Barstow, CA. During his life he resided all over California, but spent his youth in Salt Lake City, Utah where he was born June 18th, 1972. He was the first child of four sons, born to Paula LeAnn Johnson and Timothy Howard Miller. He is survived by his: Parents: Tim and Paula Brothers: Tommy, James, and Todd. Daughters: Emerald Tora Angel Rubrecht, Hannah Bell Karina Miller, Jennifer Whitehead, and Karley Autom Mckalah Miller His nieces, nephews, and close family grieve his passing and feel the loss of his presence. We'll miss his big bear hugs and unwavering loyalty toward his family. He had a love of fishing, camping, hunting, tinkering, building, refurbishing, music, drawing, animals, exploring the wilderness, and being in nature. He was a practicing Christian and believer in Jesus Christ, our savior; being baptized at the age of 19 in the Church of Latter Day Saints. Three of his daughters fondly remember attending services with him at multiple sanctuary locations in the High Desert area. Aside from his daughters, which he recalled as his greatest life accomplishment, he was successful in many trades and hands-on skills. He always dreamed of becoming an underwater welder, but dabbled in many construction jobs, welding, and more recently was employed as a property maintenance man in Barstow. As a young man he enjoyed sports such as football, track and field primarily shotput and discus. We shall always remember him as the man who would help catch and release Blue Jays on the property in Carmel, hunting quail, snakes, boars and other wild animals, and as the man who loved to take us fishing on any occasion. He's left us with great memories of inner tubing on several lakes across California with family on fun camping trips. His love of the outdoors lives in his children as beautiful memories, alongside his deep love of music. A few of his favorite bible verses: Zechariah 10:12 “... I will strengthen them in the LORD and in his name they will live securely,” declares the Lord. Malachi 3:16 “on the day when I act,” says the LORD almighty, “they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as the father has compassion and spares his son who serves him…” He is finally free.
