Hello everyone! My name is Brooke , and I am reaching out to you to share a once in a lifetime opportunity and ask for your support. I have created this LFEBridge campaign to help raise funds for my expedition to Tanzania in 2025. With a generous contribution, we can help make a significant impact to improve living standards for disadvantaged communities in Tanzania in an ecologically sensitive way. While I am there, I will be working on many projects including housing and welfare, education, water and food security, helping to support sustainable lively hoods. I want to make a difference! My expedition is through Camps International, who’s main aim is too offer ethical journeys with an impact. Founded in 2002, they have positively improved the lives of over 120,000 people and provided homes for more than 60 of the poorest families. In wildlife, they help vaccinate and treat more 26,000 livestock to improve their welfare and establish over 1.1 million more trees. I will be in Tanzania for 4 weeks, staying in 4 different camps ,all in or surrounding the communities I will be helping directly. The camps range from longhouses and traditional buildings to simple tents and even a hammock on the beach. Due to the nature of my expedition, I will rarely have WiFi or even a charged phone! Provided is 3 meals a day, unlimited fresh drinking water, clean toilets and private washing facilities. Despite this not all camps will have access to hot water. This expedition ventures right into communities that need our help the most. With many residents having little or no income except that through subsistence farming, with drought and wildlife sabotage, there is no question as to why living conditions are so tough. This makes the work we do even more important. On top of all the work we do for the communities and wildlife, I will also be given many other unmissable opportunities. From the main adventure of our trip of scuba diving to meeting and hanging out with locals , trying traditional foods and learning Swahili to having an African Safari. We also can not forgot the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends and have an unforgettable experience that I may never get again and definitely something my parents have never done either.
