Hi, this is Scott Siegel (again!) with a new and important project that dearly needs your help. Having previously guided Broadway's Rising Stars at Town Hall for fourteen year, I have embarked on a new project, titled BROADWAY'S NEXT GENERATION. It is intended to launch what we consider the top echelon of young talent emerging from Performing Arts programs from all over the country into the next level of their new careers. And we are going to do it in two shows at the Tony Award winning nightclub, 54 Below on August 16 & 17 with shows at 7 PM each night. I need your help because what we do with the approximately 20 young talents we select is to put them through a rigorous training program for about ten days before the concerts at 54 Below take place. They work for six hours per day with our musical director, the legendary Ron Abel, and with our vocal coach, the equally legendary Bill Daugherty, as well as with me and Barbara Siegel (A Drama Desk award-winner who was on the Drama Desk Nominating Committee for 18 years, 12 of them as its chair). Rehearsal rooms need to be rented, Ron and Bill need to be paid, sheet music needs to purchased, seats at the club need to be secured for agents, managers, and important industry people who need to see our stars in action. And, finally, our twenty Next Generation stars need to be paid, because when they perform on August 16 & 17 it will not be a showcase, it will be a major gig in the venue all Broadway performers call their home. Yes, 54 Below is paying for shows for those two nights, but they are not paying for all of the rest that I've described above; that's why I need your generous, open-hearted help. All donations will be acknowledged on the nights of the shows in a printed program. And any donation, large or small, will help, so please don't think you can't help, because whatever you can give will be put to good use. And if you happen to have deep pockets and are willing to dig into them for a major donation, we will honor you in a way totally equal to that donation, perhaps dedicating one of the evenings to you or anyone else you want to designate for that honor. The point is, we need help to make this the kind of event that will make a difference in the lives of our 20 Next Generation performers. I hope you will be able to help. By the way, the video that introduces this LFEBridge is Stella Katherine Cole singing "Cry Me a River" at 54 Below. Stella was one of the Broadway's Rising Stars in the last one of those concerts I created for Town Hall in 2024. She currently has over 600,000 followers on social media, she is touring with the world famous group Post Modern Jukebox, and she has a video that has gone viral with nearly 3 million views. She is a great example of what we hope will happen with our 2024 Next Generation Performers. With your help, that just might be possible -:). Best, Scott Siegel
