Allow us to introduce you to Selah Harris, a remarkable young woman attending Harding University, dedicated to pursuing a degree in teaching theater. Selah's passion for theater goes beyond the stage; she envisions a future where able-bodied and disabled individuals come together harmoniously to create groundbreaking productions that redefine what it means to be disabled and who we can be as performers. Her unwavering determination to integrate diverse abilities in the theater has the potential to reshape the landscape of the performing arts industry. However, Selah's journey has not been an easy one. She has faced numerous challenges, including undergoing an astonishing 44 surgeries and enduring countless hospital stays. Diagnosed at birth with Spina Bifida Mylomeningocele at 12th Thoracic Vertebrae, Hydrocephalus, Kyphosis, Scoliosis, Neurogenic Bowel & Bladder, Bi-lateral Clubbed Feet, Leg Length Discrepancy, Osteopenia - Selah has already overcome so many obstacles. In her pursuit of her dreams, she has already applied for an astounding 122 scholarships, highlighting her commitment to overcoming obstacles and pursuing her passion.
