Hi all! Last night as I was driving down Amador Valley Blvd in Dublin, I spotted a dog on the loose just before the intersection at Village Parkway. I turned into the parking lot and the dog came right up to me. As soon as I opened my car door, the dog jumped right in. I noticed a large mass under her stomach and decided it was best to take her home for the night because it was over 90 degrees. We gave her some water and took her to the emergency vet. The vet gave her some fluids, estimated she was around 10-12 years old, and is severely underweight. We took her home for the night and have been making calls to vets/shelters in the area. We’re concerned that in her condition, a shelter would likely euthanize her. She is really the sweetest dog, doesn’t bark or bite and gives lots of kisses! Due to having another dog, it is not ideal for us to keep her permanently. We have given her food and gotten her some basic supplies. At this point, we don’t know how much it will cost to remove the large tumor and will call again tomorrow. I would greatest appreciate it if you are able to donate to help with medical costs, supplies, etc. Any donations in excess will be donated to local animal rescue centers. Thank you!
